Blessed

PictureLet me just say that I am truly blessed!  When the hubby and I met I knew that I was marrying, for the lack of a better word an orphan.  Let me explain,  my husband had lived on his own since he was 17 years old, when we got married he was 36 years old, therefore meaning that he had lived on his own without his family longer that he had lived with his family.  The one person that my husband has kept in constant contact with from his family is his little sister.  I remember the first time I ever talked with his sister, it was shortly after hubby and I started dating and he had called me while he was on a road trip to visit his sister in New Mexico, his phone conversation was to ask me if he could tell his sister that I was his girlfriend.  After my approval of such a statement she got on the phone with me to tell me just how happy she was that her brother was happy and she could tell I was special because her brother was beaming.  Those words have stuck with me now eight years later.  My sister in law is in many ways the link to my husband’s childhood.  Hubby is not a sentimental kind of guy and does not freely talk about his emotions or what makes him the way he does but in conversations with his sister I feel that I have a better understanding of what it was like to be a Kulow child.  With all that said, over the years my sister in law has blessed me in many ways, some I am sure she does not even know, but this year, she was the only one that sent me a wrapped Christmas gift, and not only was there a wrapped gift but there was only a gift for me, one that she made special just for me!  So to you sister in law – thank you!  Hugs from my heart to yours!
