I have been replaced! Middle brother has decided that I do not do such a good job at the whole housekeeping thing and he has taken over. I will admit that the first time I realized that I was replaced I was feeling “replaced”, like what is the point! I was sad and feeling inadequate that my six year old was picking up the slack. Since the first time middle brother started cleaning and making note of the things that had been slacked on I have come to rather enjoy it! I enjoy that there is someone else helping with the house work. Middle brother loves it too! He has almost exclusively taken over doing the laundry. There was a point on Sunday where the whole family was sitting on the couch watching football and Hubby and I heard middle brother upstairs. Hubby called to him, “What are you doing?” “I am organizing the beads.” Hubby looks at me and says, “I have no words for that.” Monday Middle brother actually was cleaning under my bed and asked me, “Geesh, mom when was the last time you dusted under your bed?” So this is a fair warning to any woman, interested in marrying middle brother… his standards are sky high! Not necessarily because of me, because I obviously don’t dust under my bed regular enough! I have decided rather than feel inadequate I will just laugh it off and remind my boys that they cannot completely replace me!
