One of the things that I think I have always craved is small town… don’t get me wrong I love the bustle of the big city, but there is something so grounding about small towns. When I was in my early twenties I moved to a small town, it was fun! I loved that everyone knew me and the big attraction was WalMart – granted it was fun for about five months then it wore on me. There is a part of me that wishes we were raising our boys in a small town. Sometimes Littleton, in it’s grandeur feels small town! Every fall since we have lived here I have taken the boys to the local home coming parade. It feels so quaint and small town! There are kids that we know through church standing on floats. The elementary and middle schools close down for the parade and everyone takes to the street. Police blockade the street and everything feels so safe and lovely. The trees are showing off their fall glory and the air is crisp. Fall feels like it officially begins the afternoon of the homecoming parade!
